16 June 2014
Ana Stewart, Managing Director at innovative software, creative and media services provider i-design, has been recognised for a top ATM industry award following her entrepreneurial commitment to ATM marketing.
Ana’s extensive and innovative work in the industry has seen her join the elite group of “ATM Industry Champions”, a title awarded by the ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) to stand-out members of the ATM sector. The Champions are hand-picked for their work in bettering the industry for the good of both businesses and society through promoting thought leadership, progress and professionalisation.
i-design, a specialist self-service customer engagement solution company which Ana founded in 1991, offer consumer experience and advertising solutions which reaches over 1 billion ATM customers every year, across bank branches, supermarkets, convenience stores, high street locations and major travel hubs.
With 25 years of experience in the ATM business, Ana has worked with i-design consistently throughout her career, as well as excelling in her entrepreneurial work around ATM marketing.
One of the most recognized contributions that Ana and i-design have made to the ATM industry is the creation of atmAd, the world’s first aggregated, end to end ATM advertising channel, enabling major brands to access millions of ATM customers across multiple ATM networks simultaneously with on-screen and dynamic coupon offers. More recently, the introduction of ‘Joono’ software which provides enriched customer experience and personalisation at the ATM. The software also discreetly learns individual customers’ ATM habits, and automatically presenting the most relevant offers and transactions on future visits to cash points.
‘Joono’ is the market leading technology solution that enables interactive consumer engagement on ATMs, offering the possibility to display marketing during ATM transactions, highlighting a Bank’s or a third party brand’s special offers on-screen and as a coupon on receipts. Global brands – including Unilever, McDonald’s and Cadbury – regularly utilise i-design’s solutions to promote their products to consumers.
The software that i-design has developed means that the customer is at the heart of ATM functionality, saving time and enhancing convenience for the many millions of customers using cash machines today.
Michael Lee, CEO at ATMIA, said:
“Ana’s work in the ATM advertising space has been pioneering. She embraced the field ahead of many others, learning and re-evaluating throughout the process. Her persistence, vision and determination paid off and she has led the way in proving the ATM’s worth as a successful and important marketing channel, not just in the UK, but around the world.”
The ATMIA ‘ATM Industry Champions’ title honours the work of exceptional contributors to the ATM industry, and was launched earlier this year as the industry prepares to celebrate in 2017 its first 50 years of progress. More information can be found on the ATM Industry Champions portal.
